Reader of the ongoing exhibition Musafiri, of guests and travelers. The book is based on a system of shapes inspired by the principle of Oraliture. Often used in the work of Madame Zo, Oraliture is an Haitian notion defining the ways of transmitting informations & knowledge through other mediums than written words. It is composed of the words oral and litterature, designate oral transmission but also music, patterns, textile, etc. By reading the contributions, we gathered recurring themes and translated them into shapes listed in a visual summary as an abstract alphabet. Every chapter is marked by a specific abstract pattern made by shapes representing the notions of the following text.

Livre de l'exposition permanente Musafiri, of guests and travelers. Le livre est basé sur un système de formes inspiré du principe de l'Oraliture. Souvent utilisée dans le travail de Madame Zo, l'Oraliture est une notion haïtienne définissant les modes de transmission des informations et des connaissances par d'autres moyens que les mots écrits. Elle est composée des mots oral et littérature, désignant la transmission orale mais aussi la musique, les motifs, le textile, etc. En lisant les contributions, nous avons rassemblé les thèmes récurrents et les avons traduits en formes répertoriées dans un résumé visuel sous la forme d'un alphabet abstrait. Chaque chapitre est marqué par un motif abstrait spécifique composé de formes représentant les notions du texte suivant.
